Almost twenty years after taking these pictures, I found the negatives in a box buried in my parents' house among old correspondence and memorabilia.
My son Caetano and I spent many hours restoring them, but the biggest surprise was actually putting them together and realizing they tell a little story, a tale of old memories and familiar places.
